There are 12 Business Cultural Growth qualities to employ for your organisation (just like there are 7 Business Leadership Styles and 12 Business Hyper Growth principles). The eighth being “Balance in all things”.

If your sales team were to out sell all your products and productivity capabilities you would have some very disgruntled clients. Similarly with your staff, for staff peak performance, they have to be in balance. The golden goose has to be well taken care of (e.g. your staff, plant and equipment and yourself), then you will have exceptional productivity gains leading to peak performance.

You can do this by weekends away, performance appraisal’s, bonus structures based a democratic vote and weighting, cash bonuses, Christmas-birthday-movie functions. The amount of strategies are limitless for rejuvenating, regenerating your business’s spirit.

Cultivate a business of balance in all aspects and elements. And keep your high and peak performance growth going. This is a fundamental law for high success and continual growth has a natural cycle and rhythm. However, the business must be aligned with these principles and being in balance is a key one.

Balance also allows to step into the strategy of “Business Running Capacity” proficiently. The optimum ratio is around 75%-85% (depending on your industry). This allows you to plan well and also adapt quickly for exogenous events (unforeseeable and uncontrollable events). Business Running Capacity (i.e. how much utilisation of all resources for running your business well) is an important aspect that we will talk later about in future Blogs.

You’re the leader of your organisation, so it’s imperative that you choose balance in all things for your business. All your resources, financial (strategic and structured well), human (Keep your staff fit and healthy) and time (ensure your giving yourself flexibility).
